GarageCraft is an independently owned software engineering firm that offers solutions to complex vehicle management, parking and toll systems.
Established in 2005 in Seattle Washington, GarageCraft spent its formative years developing innovative vehicle management solutions for ATZ Incorporated, a leading operator of commercial parking facilities.
Core Principles
GarageCraft's core design principles are flexibility, future proofing, and revenue verification. Our experience has taught us that if the design process is driven by these three principles then most problems associated with vehicle management projects can be avoided. Therefore, whenever we approach a problem: we carefully consider whether our solution will be flexible enough to meet the unforeseen needs of the customer; we design and build using modular systems so individual components, including hardware, can be replaced on a piecemeal basis as needed without disrupting the entire application; and we vigorously ensure that all “transactions” are carefully tracked and can be backed up with journal entries, adjustment tracking, sensor based evidence (loop/photo/video), and logs.
Company Goals
The mission of GarageCraft is to provide its customers with innovative solutions and progressive technology that help to improve the customers’ efficiency and revenue management. In addition, GarageCraft is striving to help move the vehicle management/tolling industry away from expensive single-use monolithic vertical applications and towards a paradigm that emphasizes modular distributed components that encourage re-use and multi-use of expensive roadway sensor infrastructure. It is our belief that this would greatly reduce the expense and risk of maintaining and deploying large vehicle management/tolling systems. Whereas currently the risk and expense of these costly systems is often borne by tax payer supported government institutions.
