This service provides the tools and user interface for issuing and managing reservations to limited resources.

Capacity Management

Our rules-based reservation system enables users/consumers to make reservations that are allocated against specific pools of resources. Some or all of the resource pool can be made available to reservation seekers. When the number of reservations reaches a defined threshold notifications are sent warning that the resource pool has reached a certain percentage of available reservations.

Also, a single resource, such as a parking lot, may be divided into multiple resource pools. This enables the operator to setup different reservation rules for different parts of their resource. E.g., VIP versus Standard.

Smart Rules

Reservation rules include, day and time availability, length of stay, rate plan variability (Users who make reservations may receive different prices than those who do not make reservations), capacity warnings, hard/soft capacity limits, pre-paid deposit options, refund/missed reservation options. If the standard rules do not meet the needs of your application we can cost effectively develop custom rules to meet particular application requirements.

Payment and Refund Flexibility

Our reservation system can be configured to support payment/deposit rules that fit your business needs. We often recommend setting up Reservations to require a deposit made online with a credit card. This helps ensure that the consumer keeps his or her reservation. However, requiring deposits is optional. If it fits your business better, you can choose to let your consumers make reservations without supplying a deposit.

Business rules regarding what to do with unused Reservations are flexible as well. You can choose to consume the unused deposit as revenue. Or, you can just hang on to the deposit and apply it to the customer's next purchase. Or, just credit the deposit back to the customer's credit card account.
