Violation Service
This service provides the tools for creating, pricing, and issuing violations.
Violation Numbers
Number management options include: bulk upload of pre-defined numbers, auto-generation of numbers, out of sequence number issuing. Number management can be a critical feature if Violations are issued using pre-printed paper pads because the violation number will be printed on pad in advance. Our systems allows for flexible operations as well as secure handling of the number inventory when exceptions occur. For example, when a pre-printed violation is inadvertently issued "out of order" our system allows the operator to skip ahead to the correct violation number when entering the violation into the system. If the Violations are created and issued using hand-held computers the Violation will automatically be entered into the system with the correct number.
Violation Types
Violation Types are created for each kind of violation in your system. Each Violation Type will be given a useful name, such as, Dirty Vehicle, Overtime, and the like. Then a parent class will be selected, such as Vehicle or Account. (Violations can be issued against Accounts, as well as, items like Vehicles.) Next, a number inventory and a payment/charge method will be assigned. As soon as the new Violation Type is activated Violations may be issued using the new type.
Payment/Charge Methods
When a Violation Type is created the operator will choose a billing method and Rate Plan for charging for Violation. The GL Account where to assign Violation fee charges is chosen at this time.
Reports
The Violation Service supports our standard List Report system for generating ad hoc reports.
